RIP Margeret Mahy

Postby wicked woman » Tue Jul 31, 2012 1:31 pm

Just heard that Margeret Mahy has died, about a week ago.

One of my favourite childrens/young peoples author. Loved the way she mixed normal life and magic. RIP Margeret.

I hadn't heard of her, but just looked her up. Like Terry a former Carnegie Medal winner and a ton of books to her name.

RIP. :(

What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

How did I not hear of such a loved and respected author.

I will now track her down and read.

She wrote her first published story when she was seven, called "Harry Is Bad". She showed it to her class to let them know that they could write a story whatever their age.
:o :o Wow!

RIP
