Death cooking in a tavern and feeding the cats in the backyard while letting time stand still, thus creating the first fast food restaurant.

Mort was my introduction to the disk novels, and this scene is burnt into my memory forever...

I like that scene too - it's sort of bittersweet that Death seems to have found a job that makes him happy, but has to go back to his Duty.
