He is probably a tourist Today it reached the giddy heights of 16C-60F summer is coming time to get the shorts and flip flops out, sun is just going down now and it's 12C-53F and some blue sky.

Its winter here and its a little bit hot today and its RAIN ALOTS

Haydee your Winter is mostly warmer than the Summer we get here, we are lucky if it gets into the mid 20s on the East coast, it was a lot warmer when I lived in London.

Because the sea temperature averages 12 to 13 degrees centigrade in the summer but the geothermal hot tub, which is what the 'skinny pool' is always has a temperature of 38 degrees centigrade.

A truly weird winter here.... Been in the mid 20C's most of this winter.... we have plummeted down to 6C some nights but its back up to around 12C or 13C at night now.

I took Hayden to the park on our bikes last weekend and wore a top without sleeves!!!! Crazy. Still stepping out at night in coats though (stop laughing).

Rain rain rain rain and more rain all week. (thats why the night-time temps have been higher) Bet it clears up the minute she goes over to her dads this weekend!

With only 6 weeks of winter left most people are looking sideways at each other..... "Well if its been THIS mild for winter.... WHAT will summer hold??" Heatwaves? Because they can get nasty here.

Thinking about all our American mates going through the heatwaves right now. Cooling thoughts going your way people.

Blimey, hasn't been this hot for ages. Next time I'll plan a trip to a swimming bath.

we had 22*C today but the morning it was cold. it"s not rain anymore but its sunny.

It's 14C here a bit sunny which is a nice change from all the rain, we are not having a good summer but temperatures never get that much above 25c even in a good summer, but today is still warm enough for just a t-shirt as long as the rain keeps off.

Beautiful days here. Low 20'sC.. but its so cold at night! Brrrrrrrr. The first of August... we are all waiting on tenderhooks for the "Westerlies" ... cold winds that blow a gale here in Brissy every August. You know its Ekka time (The Brisbane Exhibition) when the westerlies come. The horrible thing about the westerlies is that you have to have a heavy coat to fight them as they bite... but once you get out of the wind its hot. Coat on/coat off/coat on/ coat off/ coat on/...

As a mum its the "arguing time". "Yes you DO have to take a coat!" "But its hoooooooooooot!" "Get a coat!"
