Perhaps that's why the option is

Even then it's slightly longer than we need but that last minute the theme's a little lighter but still keeping that 'edgier' feeling - remember there are Discworld Elves compiling this not the cuddly Stephen Fry type ones  ;)

I voted for Dragon Riders of Wyrmberg.

I personally prefer the first part of the song but if you think it would be too dramatic and stress out the quiz team, the second part of the song still gets my vote.

Will let this run a little bit longer but the Dragons may now take some licking :P

At just over 40 secs Twoflower's Theme fits the title sequence perfectly but I could spread it out a little more so it could fill the extra 10 seconds. The reason to use the last part rather than the earlier segments is because it has a little more melodic variety at the end which does give it a little more 'zip' whilst retaining the edge of menace I suppose - Dragons and Elves have tons of style so we ought to flaunt it

It is humbling to see people discussing which one of the pieces I wrote is best for the Strangely Fascinating quiz. :D

My personal view is that the Twoflowers Theme fits the fun of this style of quiz show, and also the quirky humour of Discworld. It was fun recording the sound of Luggage's footsteps by whacking the carpet with a pair of wooden spoons. ;)

Whichever one is picked, I'll spend some extra time getting to sound as nice as I can. It's a shame that I won't be at the Convention, but I live a little too far away.

I like Granny as well but Eelco, who's in charge of the programme was keen that we keep to the theme of the Convention which is 'early days' Discworld and the 1st 2 books in particular so there's more scope and possibilities with interpretation which we don't have with most of the series (for instance draco nobilis really could only 'work' in CoM or LF as we only get the 1 dragon queen after that   ) - bit 'wilder' too with more barbarians scampering about too

Looks like Dragons is popular. I'm starting to spend a bit of time improving the quality of the performance. Fixing dynamics and expression problems etc. But it's late here, so I'll finish it over the next few days. I'll see if I can get some real instruments in there too.

I voted for Twoflower, it reminds me of the QI theme in that it's a bit tinkly :)

Same, it seems to suit the fun nature of the show more

I love the Dragon Riders - but I think the UU is more suitable to a theme tune. Maybe if we could also use Dragon Riders if there's a tie-break or just before the equivalent of General Ignorance to heighten the tension? Either way, well done you for all three

Cheers Simon - have updated the main link for that now. Sounds even better - much 'tighter'

I'm thinking that perhaps we could have some closing credits too - and use Dragon Riders for that and keep Twoflower for the intro still? We've started on setting question strands now so we'll see how it goes - we might have room for all three tunes with some incidental music for the slides or klaxon... ;)
