Does anyone else think Alan Rickman would make a good Vetinari in the DW movies? (I know his name has come up in discussion before but we have had quite a few new members since then.) :D

AR would be a fantastic Vetinari - possibly a bit too mean (with cancelling Christmas in another life) but that's OK

Hmm I dunno, I think I'd prefer Robert Downey Jr. for Vetinari.

I think if I were to cast Alan Rickman in any role of a DW book, it would be Dr. Cruces in Men At Arms.
His look is great for an assassin, and he plays both villains and crazy people very well.

I agree with The Dink and Rob.

I can see what women see in Alan Rickman, but he doesn't float my boat.

If anyone saw Jeremy Irons as King Henry IV, in The Hollow Crown on tv recently, he looked exactly like how I imagine Vetinari to be.
