Mine's working fine but I notice from your screenshot that you have McAfee installed. I tried it once and found that it was suddenly, and for no apparent reason, taking over my pc and preventing me using several programs. Can you try disabling it and seeing if that makes a difference? (I won't touch McAfee with a bargepole after my experiences with it, btw.)

That AV programme is utter shite I wouldn't touch it with your bargepole with an extention added either,and Norton is not a lot better.
