The Law's An Ass! (True or False Quiz)

I knew most of these, but then I am an aficionado of dumblaws.com - I even used the website in a cover RE lesson with 10/11 year olds on the subject of religious laws/rules, to illustrate that some laws/rules over time lose their meaning and usefulness and are just adhered to because of tradition.

I used the taxi driver/bale of hay one among others. I asked them why they thought that law was in place, and once I reminded them that in the days before cars, taxis were horse-drawn carriages, it clicked.
. . . and I'm all like, "I wrote a book, innit," and they're all like, "Well where can we get it," and I'm all like, "Here . . ."

"1: For the debaters on the ‘Capital Punishment Thread’, according to a British law passed in 1845, attempting to commit suicide was a capital offence, punishable by hanging."

Ummmmmm.............. If a person attempted to commit suicide, and the person is sentenced to a hanging, wouldn't they be getting what they tried to do in the first place???

"3: In England, it is illegal for a lady to eat chocolates on a public conveyance."
How dare they prevent a lady from eating chocolate!!!
"5: In England, a pregnant woman may relieve herself anywhere she likes, including (if she requests) in a policeman’s helmet."
I feel sorry for the policeman...
"12: In Florida, a woman can be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer as can the salon owner."
Ridiculous!
"10: It is illegal to mispronounce Arkansas while in the State of Arkansas"
What if the person who mispronounces Arkansas is a baby who can't talk properly yet???

I re-post this:
"10: It is illegal to mispronounce Arkansas while in the State of Arkansas"
What if the person who mispronounces Arkansas is a baby who can't talk properly yet???

I mean, are they going to put the baby in jail for mispronouncing a state??? EDIT: A state's name, I mean.
WHO MADE THESE LAWS??!!!!!
