I consider the whole of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, if read the right way, to be an exercise in dark comedy. You've got these two druggies doing these Godawful things to each other, but most of the time, you can't help but laugh or giggle at what's happening.

I mean, Dr Gonzo to a hitch-hiker, and Raoul Duke's rejoinder:

Gonzo: We're your friends. We're not like the others.

Raoul Duke: No more of that talk. Or I'll put the leeches on you.

Pootling round the net yesterday, I came across the surprising fact that the age of consent in Canada is, apparently, 14.

When I mentioned it to one of the young lads (23) who works upstairs, his response was:

Good place to go for a stag party, then. Less chance of getting arrested.

Okay, if we want really dark humour, then we should look no further than Team Fortress 2's Meet the Team shorts. These videos are used to promote the computer game Team Fortress 2, often showcasing a particular class in the game, and giving an insight into their personality.

The latest (and last, in all likelihood) one, Meet the Pyro, was released earlier this morning. Warning: contains conflagration, immolation, and a landscape that tastes like diabetes.




Of course, that is one of the weirder, and less funny, of the Meet the Team shorts. The previous one was one of the best, albeit very darkly funny. Here's Meet the Medic. Warning: contains open heart surgery, medical experimentation, and doves in unhygienic places...




Another one, Meet the Sniper (fave line: "Not a "crazed gunman", dad, I'm an assassin! ...Well, the difference bein' one is a job and the other's mental sickness!")...

No, not really. Most people get Godwin's Law wrong and invoke it as soon as Nazis or Hitler are mentioned. Godwin's original law is

So, imo you can't gain a Godwin point

No, don't think so
I found the point Godwin (French) in the German Wiki article about Godwin's law (wanted to make sure I quoted it right). Seems to be a meme in French countries to distribute those "points Godwin". Mark the perforated edges where you can cut it out (of your monitor ).
