Obviously Granny has faced off with Death a few times. Lucky for the cow in CJ it got to live :wink:
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

agree that that part is from Maskarade and not CJ. It is when they are at a coaching in for the night.


Dude, the book is in my hand and I'm looking at it, it's in Carpe Jugulum. lol I think that Granny and cows have several encounters in several books hence the confusion. :)

There are two books with Granny and a cow - they read quite differently though. In CJ the cow doesn't die, but Granny is worried that the owner of the cow might take his anger out on the cow. :)

Exactly Tony. She says to Mrs. Paternoster to make sure he doesn't kill the cow as "..they'll need it" The baby dies instead of the mother. The cow is never actually at risk except from a thorn in its leg.

That's actually from Carpe Jugulum.


it also happens in Maskerade which I just read so perhaps it happens more than once? And it definitely happened in Maskerade becuase I am just about to read Carpe Jugulam for the first time :)
