Yeah Batty... but did you ever date a guy who talked in third person?

"Oh sweet! Mike likes what you are wearing to dinner. Mike likes it alot!" .... see ... at first it seems cute ... strange yes.. but not something that I couldn't overlook... not the end of the world after all huh?

.... it didn't seem like he talked in the third person EVERY moment of every time I saw him....it was later ... it was very very very strange hearing Mike talk in the third person... then.... you know.... the whole time... during.... that...oh yeah. FREAKY!

Del didn't date Mike after that.... and now Del has always been freaked out when people DO talk in third person.

But please ... carry on... don't mind me.

Aha! So that explains it. Aww, Del, sorry you had such a freaky experience. I wasn't there when the HC thread of that name started out so am not sure why it began, other than the fact that TP's books are in the third person and someone must have thought we could write updates in the same way. There was also a second person thread but not as popular. Third person contained everyone's updates. A bit like the frustration thread, what made you smile thread, what are you doing tomorrow thread and the how do you feel today thread all in one place... Just written in the third person. As he's put you off joining in, that ex date has a lot to answer for! He'd have freaked me out, too!
