Playing with 3 defenders, a diamond midfield, two wingers and a target man. 8-)

Richard Dawkins...Jack Charlton........Charles Darwin

Sir Lancelot.................................Lawrence of Arabia

John Lennon.........Ian McCulloch.......Harry Potter

This team would whip your Irish ass!

Putting Cromwell in against an Irish team is like putting Hitler in against a Jewish team. There should be a rule against fielding players that have commited genocide against the opposition

I actually like Andy Carrol.

Under Martinez he might actually play well. 8-)

He had a good end to the season and I credit him with winning the League cup final because of the last ditch tackle on Miller. If the players around him were at all alert they could have picked up on all his layoffs on saturday

Pinflod has suggested we also pick the winner of the Golden Boot (the player who scores the most) for extra bonus points.

As this is a democratic competition, what do you reckon?

If the majority agree, I'm going with Ronaldo. 8-)

I agree and will pick Muller for Germany as Golden boot. Ronaldo will fluff it as usual :D

Will Messi be playing? If he is, then I'll pick him!

Ronaldo will get the Jumping Bean Award, for the Best Dive!

If we do go with the idea of a leading goal scorer bonus, I rather fancy the Netherlands to do well so I will go for Robin van Persie. :D
