Celtic v Rangers? Nothing!
Man U v Liverpool? A mere tiff!
L'Arse v Spuds? Handbags!
8-)

My team (Irish Justice Department Team (my bro works there))played the irish prison guards team and there was 7 red cards .
Games with them tend to end in a riot and a few hospital visits :D

So what would the perfect Irish team be?
If you could choose anybody (living or dead), would James Joyce, Pádraig Pearse or James Connolly be in it? 8-)

You do one for Ireland and I'll do one for England.

For starters I'd have Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen) at #9. He'd be a bit like Peter Crouch - all legs but could head the ball a bit.

...and Sir Isaac Newton could feed off his knock downs.

Darwin at left back, Dawkins at right back. 8-)

James Joyce who poured vomit on a page, Patrick Pearse who was a nutjob dreamer and James Connolly who was Scottish and a Commie , think I'll look elsewhere

No 9 The Duke of Wellington , Great shot (with a cannon) and yes he was Irish
In goal Bono , He thinks he can save the world so i'm sure he can manage to save few balls
Centre Half no 4 Michael O leary (and Captain) Can lead with the same magic he gets money from nothing with Ryanair.
Centre Mid St Brendan. He can sail his way through other teasm like he did the Atlantic

Just to start . other Irish members can add :D

So here's my ideal England team.
Playing with 3 defenders, a diamond midfield, two wingers and a target man. 8-)

.......................Winston Churchill

Richard Dawkins...Jack Charlton........Charles Darwin

.......................Oliver Cromwell
Sir Lancelot.................................Lawrence of Arabia
........................Tigger

John Lennon.........Ian McCulloch.......Harry Potter

This team would whip your Irish ass!

Sun 10th June
Spain v Italy 1-1
