I was shocked the first time I saw a new computer without a floppy drive. I thought they were crazy to get rid of it.

Even the hards are only 3.5 inches nowadays...

Seriously, getting rid of the floppy drive was a sensible move.

When I started in computers I had an 8 inch floppy but things have shrunk quite a bit over the years ;)
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

Wow. I've only ever heard of the 8" floppies. However, I attended a lecture (Introduction to programming) and the professor gave each of us one of those early predecessors of floppies: A punch card that could store a whopping 80Bytes. I'm using it as a book mark. :D
Anyway, on topic. Conforumist gave me the name of Broccolee and I tried to find her English services or phone number. No success. :(

I do hope Broccolee is getting some help to get back online and on here. Meanwhile, I hope she makes contact with someone somehow. it's worrying not to hear from her since her letter to Con. :(

Oh boy! :o :o :o Amazing how these posts line up when you click on the last page first......

Brocolee!!!!!!!!! I am wavin at you if you are watching sweetheart ........Image

I know where you are.... (mentally) Just hang in there knowing you have all our support :romance-grouphug:

And a whole heap of the big burly type boys (and some of the skinny weakly ones too) offered all sorts of maiming and disasterousness to MY ex-arse when things were getting bad for me. :character-jason: :angry-boxing: :auto-ambulance: though seriously?.... I think it was the open hearted bag beatings offered up by the girls on here that really scared hisarseness most of all if he was looking.

And they are all geographically CLOSER to your ex-arse than they are to MINE! :o

I know its not easy to get out to the library or whereever you have to get to to get internet but IF IF IF you do see this and all the other messages then remember we love you and worry for you.

I am sending you lots of purple vibes....

Well, here is one the lines I have to deliver when I'm in Calendar Girls later in the year. I post it in honour of our missing friend Image:

"Ladies! This Harvest, come with me as I invite you into the fascinating world... of broccoli!" :D

Maybe CB or someone close to her could send her a letter, asking her to call them, or me> Then we can ask about her computer situation to shed some light on things.
