World's Greatest Sci Fi Film Ever - Nominations

Postby Penfold » Fri May 25, 2012 11:18 am

Thinking of the 'Blade Runner Thread', I thought it time for another competition. Just a bit of fun, no prizes. :D

RULES

Qualifying Round
1. Everybody may nominate up to 5 Science Fiction films.

2. Individual films only may be nominated. Star Wars Trilogy etc. will count as three nominations (you get the idea).

3. The films with the most nominations will then go through into the final, on a separate thread. I will decide later how many films go through, depending on the spread but it will be at least five.

4. Closing date for nominations is midnight (BST) Sunday 10th June.

Back to the Future

The Matrix

Solaris
(1972 version)

Metropolis

Men in Black

Everyone else has nominated District 9, so I thought that I would vote a little more strategically. I considered putting the adaptation of The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy in as well, but decided against it.
I've lived for over 2000 years, and not all of them were good ones. I've made many mistakes. And it's about time I did something about that.

I was beginning to wonder if anyone else would nominate The Matrix...
