RIP Robin Gibb

Postby wicked woman » Mon May 21, 2012 9:27 pm

So sad, not that old. The music takes me back to my courting days. :(
Of all the forces in the universe, the hardest to overcome is the force of habit. Gravity is easy-peasy by comparison.

Yes, the other two brothers are still alive I think. To be honest, I was never that fond of them. I remember them promising to come back to live in the UK if Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister (mainly because the tax rates for the rich would be lowered). And I always remember the somewhat 'brattish' way they walked out of being interviewed by Clive Anderson.

RIP

I'm afraid only one brother is left Tony (Barry Gibb) with brother Maurice passing away around 2003. :(

Lordy. Their mum is still alive. Can't begin to imagine what she's going through.

To be fair, Clive Anderson had just said they were tossers but they might have been taking themselves a bit too seriously at the time. Barry Gibb is the only surviving brother. Andy died very young, Maurice was married for a while to Lulu which might have been why he died a few years ago....well, she makes my will to live disappear.
Rest in peace Robin Gibb. You made a lot of people smile and disco dance like maniacs. Nothing wrong with that :P

Robin Gibb and Donna Summer in the space of a week - 2 of disco's greatest.
