General Travel Photos

Postby Beth » Fri Aug 28, 2009 1:04 pm

This thread will be for posting any travel photos of yourself that you'd like to share and for posting links to travel photo albums located elsewhere. I'll start the ball rolling or the luggage trotting with my Bhutan photos.

I'll keep the ball rolling with three photos of a younger me at Angkor Wat, on Easter Island and during a 5 day camel trek in the Sinai desert.

This is me in Bastogne (ardennes) Where the Yanks left a jeep behind which still looked good after more than 60 years

I've just discovered on t'intertubes that they've moved his jeep into an Elvis Automobile museum and tarted it up. You can't even sit in it anymore.

I have to say that that Jeep looks more like Barbie's than Elvis's.

Nope. Clean shaven. The Elvis was 1986, Easter Island 1988, Sinai 1991 and Cambodia 2001. Had a goatee until 4 years ago but it started going white so shaved it off coz I didn't want to look like Santa.

It was the jeep he used in the movie Hawaii.

This one is from a few years ago when I was still in training to become a sailor. The photo was taking somehere on the North sea not far from the English coast. We had to jump overboard climb in a raft row back to the ship and then we got hoist back on board.

Sjoerd

I haven't got many of my photos with me here in Japan, but of the ones I have got, I've got a me-and-a-donkey photo in Peru and a me and-a-wet-suit photo in the Sinai.

I'm not going to post them now coz I've already posted 4, but will later.

Including the Jeep, that's 3 identical photos now. How bizzarre!
