Can't don't know where it went. I knocked it off the bit of wood I was about to knock down and it bounced on the floor and walked off. Don't know where it went after that.

We have False Widows here. They are living in our sun lounge. I haven't been bitten yet, but the darn things bred & we now have hundreds of baby spiders around the sun lounge. They look so small & helpless I've not the heart to squish 'em. I did evict the parents though.
The spiders do vary in colour, from reddish light brown to black, but they all have that lacy white pattern on their backs. They are the same shape as the deadly Black Widow, with tapered legs to almost a point at their feet.
The bite of the False Widow isn't deadly, but it could make you feel rather ill for a while.
Their webs are very untidy, lots of downward strands & not much cross strands. I saw the web first.
