Gosh so many good times await!

Any book recommendations from those sites?

It's weird but if i read a paperback in bed I'm asleep within 5mins but for some reason I can read my Kindle for much longer! :D

Here's a link to Gutenberg.org. The books are all free because they are out of copyright etc. So lots of classics there. ;)

Talking of classics, I downloaded Lady Chatterley's Lover the other week, to see what all the fuss was about.

Managed about 8 pages and gave up. Drivel, and I hadn't reached the "naughty" bits.

Today I might be getting a Kindle but can someone tell me how long it takes for the books to download?

I don't know. I have got Kindle on my laptop, as I wanted to buy a book that a friend had written (you can download Kindle to your PC from Amazon for free), but haven't used it to read anything. It loaded pretty quickly to the laptop - a matter of minutes if I remember correctly - but directly to a Kindle, I have no idea. :?

I just downloaded 'Tarzan of the Apes' from Project Gutenberg to the Kindle on my laptop and it took seconds (less than 10) to download. :)

Assuming you are talking about the more expensive WiFi Kindle, it depends on what the signal strength is.

At my desk in London, it can take about 30 seconds, but down at my mum's in Dorset, I have to go to the end of the garden, and stand holding the Kindle as high as I can and it can take a few minutes.

If you live in a town, it will probably not be too long. If you live in the back of beyond, it might be a while!

Oh, and a quick tip - if you are getting the WiFi one, the battery lasts longer if you switch off the WiFi when you don't need it, ie when reading a book. Only switch it on when you want to download.
