fags burn at about 800 and gas ignites at about 1200, ive gone thru a few gas mains in my time

The show Mythbusters did an episode on it. even taking a lit cigarette, puffing on it to get it nice and glowing, and plunging it into a puddle of gasoline, they couldn't get it catch fire.

Cause its the fumes of petrol that ignite. Did you know that fumes can hover and seep into your car while you are filling if you leave the car door open on a low car... and you can drive off and light a ciggie well after you have gone from the service station and ignite them.

You should also ALWAYS have a canister or can level on the ground if you are filling it because it can ignite.
