Twittering

Postby meerkat » Sat Mar 17, 2012 5:22 pm

I have foolishy, or otherwise, decided to join Twitter so I can follow up the likes of Terry/Rob and Stephen Fry amongst others. All well and good.

I am now in receipt of one follower ( ) and I have no idea who they are. It read: "Reply or the kitty gets it!" is this meant to be amusing or a general greeting? This person who appears to be some sort of fantasy writer in the US?

Can I have some advice from those who use Twitter regularly on how I use Twitter to it's best advantage or actually contact someone I know?

What WWD said:
Some people on twitter try to 'collect' followers (as it makes them comercially more attractive somehow). What you should also beware are reply-bots. Programs that, if you post a certain keyword, will send you a reply with some link. don't click it. It's spam and might even be dangerous.

I've got it. No idea how to use it though, they all talk in a foreign language. :?
Of all the forces in the universe, the hardest to overcome is the force of habit. Gravity is easy-peasy by comparison.

 That's how I feel!

I have occasionally tried to reply to someone's tweet, and I suspect that my thoughts have only appeared on my wall, and not theirs!

I've no idea how to use it!

Well my tweets from the last few days have mostly been concerned with how rubbish I've been feeling, I have a stinking cold and I feel 'orrible.

@dwcon is the con twitter account if that helps, I have control of it sometimes but since the time I tweeted something from there instead of my own account I tend to not use it so much ;) Mandy does though and we do post all the official announcements :)
