Call The Midwife.

Postby Tonyblack » Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:06 pm

Has anyone been watching the BBC series, set in the 50s, Call The Midwife?

I've watched it on the iPlayer and, for the most part, enjoyed it. It's very nostalgic to the time when I was born and growing up.

Someone on the CA board suggested that Miranda Hart would make a great Lady Sybil. I can see what they mean. :D

Oh she would be perfect for that role! :D

I've saw one episode and it looked quite good Tony, not managed to see anymore.

It was too short and the nuns were far too sweet (aside from the excellent Pam Ferris  ) but yeah it was definitely v. atmospheric - the pre-natal clinic was a classic with fag smoke everywhere and kids running riot. Jeremy Kyle would have been kept busy too...

I like Miranda Hart. Havent heard of this series. Hope we get it too.
