The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher

I've got five or six of this series, and would like to make space on my shelf.

They're up for grabs if anybody wants them. No charge.

I liked them. I always describe them as Grown Up Harry Potter!

If you like, I'll send you the first one, and if you like it, I can send you the rest?

A Grown Up Harry Potter?

*sound of a revolver quietly being loaded* This is a dangerous part of town Bouncy *burning cigarette tip glows cherry red in the darkness* You might want to watch what you say.
It's all about the sun master, white snow and red blood and the sun. Always has been.

Just started reading this series, very enjoyable so far.

Harry Dresden is a cynical wizard living in modern (ish) Chicago. He's in the yellow pages under 'wizard'. He makes observations on his actions throughout the stories tackling the supernatural, mostly witty too. He helps the police with their investigations. He's mostly good.

Usually people try to kill him too. He's not so keen on that bit.
