Just got a question: how do you move topics?

(Lets just make this a thread for people to ask questions of things they can't find in the FAQ)

You ask me or Jason and we move it. Moving topics is something only a Moderator can do. :D

You can always PM (personal message) me and I'll usually pick it up. If I move a thread I'll generally PM the person who started the thread to let them know I've done so. Although I moved a thread started by Wee Kelda the other day, PMed her but I see she hasn't spotted that she's got a message from me yet as the message hasn't been read.

If you want to show how a code works without it actually working, you can use the 'code' tags:

Code: Select all

Well, as in the above example, people who don't know how to use the code tags, to see them in place around the code. I have seen people trying to explain it by changing the shape of the brackets and still not getting through to people. Some times you have to keep it as simple as possible. :)

Agreed. I don't want a code tag, I want a candy bar.
