You have to set up an account/register with them, Author.

If I ever want anything from ebay, I get a colleague to buy it for me, and give him the cash.

I have enough problems being registered with Play.com and Amazon. I find the "buy" button very hard to resist sometimes!!

Re: Jingo being releaseed in June 2013?

Postby pipgreville » Thu May 23, 2013 11:12 am

Can anyone explain why Amazon would have sent me an email about pre-ordering a copy of Jingo as a paperback to be released this June?

I read Jingo ages ago - admittedly as a hardback. Has it not been released as a paperback before, or is there somthing different about this edition?

Well its a new release of that particular version with a new cover etc. A lot of online sites seem to have the inability to recognise the difference between a new release and a new version of an old release. Sadly Amazon recommendations tend to be littered with this.

You 'pipped' me to the post there. :D

It's crazy when you get a recommendation saying: because you said you own this book, you might be interesting in the same book.

The best recommendation I ever got from Amazon was this one after buying some coffee filters.

The one that annoys me is always the whole you bought a book so you'd love a kindle.
No I bloody wouldn't . The book I got is made of paper , so why the hell would I like a bloody computer device . To sit the book on. Or as an oversized book mark. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah I only jumped in with the answer cos I thought I was being called

Slip of the keyboard 24th Oct

And - which is more - you'll be a man my son.
