who oh why o why isn't cheerleading an olympic sport?

and I know there's resistance to American cultural influence, but I feel that cheerleading is one of those aspects that the British could embrace an perfect, like rock and roll. So why not CL squads for premiership teams? Wouldn't you like to see the Tottenham Cockrells take on the Arsenal ... er... wait a minute...

Well, for one thing, cheerleaders have to smile a lot...and exposing the world to all those misshapen British teeth might damage Britain's reputation more than Ricky Gervais already has. :D
