How did a discussion about the controversy of humor in Discworld go on to the topic of farts and sprouts?

Oh, and I like green veggies! Especially broccoli! And they taste best with ketchup added to them! *smacks lips* Dee-licious!

What's the difference between sprouts and bogies?

a) You can't get kids to eat their sprouts
b) I've never found a sprout in a library book
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I have a friend who coats raw sprouts in chocolate at Halloween, and presents them to any child that knocks on her door threatening her with the 'Trick or Treat' war cry...
They always go away really happy with their treat. She always tells them not to eat them until they get home!

Actually, pooh, she never had any reprisals.
We don't know if the kids knocked on so many doors that they couldn't remember who gave them the sprouts, or if they thought that she was so weird that they'd best leave her alone.
