They have released a SEASON 8 motion COMIC on DVD.

I agree, I don't like the idea of motion comics either. :|

Never much cared for Buffy herself - or Angel for that matter, In both shows I found the supporting cast more entertaining... Is it inevitable that the hero ends up as the default straight (wo)man, dya think?

Yeah, I fine that in most shows, though, SMG is better than many other leading actors.

Yes I agree. In Buffy and Angel they had some great supporting characters who were an important part of the success of the two series. In Angel I thought this was particularly important since the main character was so flat. Indeed the character of Spike (James Marsters) was such an important one that after killing him off in the last episode of Buffy they had to resurrect him in Angel.

Meandering off topic ever so slightly (I do like a good meander) I loved it when James Marsters basically recreated the Spike character in an episode of Torchwood. (Although I'm not sure that Spike would ever had kissed Angel).

“The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.” (Terry Pratchett).

Oh I dunno. There were some pretty homoerotic scenes in the flashbacks to ye olde times, in Angel!!

Spiral:

Buffy, Willow, Tara, and Dawn narrowly escape from Glory, but only because she is hit by a truck. Buffy and the Scoobies leave Sunnydale in Spike's RV, because Buffy fears that they will never beat Glory.

Glory was great.

 there are even people that think that the whole star trek thing is nothing more than men in pijamas saying stupid things and that only loosers with no life could like that. Which of course is totally b*llsh*t, and there's nothing to respond to that, I just ignore that.

After looking at the list of episode
to a certain degree I like:
I only have eyes for you--nice
band candy--fun
amends--maybe in part because it was a surprise when I bought the dvd, because this episode was completely censored on tv=wasn't shown, so I had no idea it existed.
earshot--nice
help--kind of heartbreaking
touched--you have to love spike in this episode

once more with feeling--the episode I've seen the most. Love it.
tabula rasa-like it veeeery much

I would probably vote for 'once more with feeling' .

I think maybe Doppelgangland but it has been a while since I saw any of the Buffy ones but I did like Willow in that one. :)
