I saw this prog advertised on TV. I used to avidly watch The Sky At Night, with Patrick Moore, he was such an enthusiast for his subject, though not as pleasant to look at perhaps as the presenter of the above programme. :D
Best wishes,

Set my vid, although Brian Cox is a bit annoying! (sorry but it's true - all that dreamy-eyed swooning over physics, bleurgh!)
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I find watching stargazing shows to be incredibly nebulous.

Finally an ally!
Somehow i'm always anticipating him doing the 'Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal-creepy intake of breath' thing. :D
Nothing against the man himself, just always feel the urge for having someone stand by with a hankey in case there's some chindribble.
Love the subject though and his enthusiasm for it is apparant and endearing,so i do hope he stays on for a long time to come.
@Tiffany
I still do,no reason to stop yet : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mk7h. ;)
It's usually on quite late and it's getting a bit sad to see Patrick Moore crumbling a bit with age.
But just for traditionsake and his own,i hope he goes on doing it for a while yet.

Looking forward to the new Stargazing with Dara O Briain.
Watched a rerun of his last appearance at the Apollo recently, which had me in stitches once again.

I've been looking forward to this all week and I'm just about to watch it now. :D

Was the last appearance at the Apollo the one where he talks about gaming?

Sounds like a book managed to escape the Ankh-Morporkian library, they just don't make the quality bookchains they used to. :D

Edit : Not sure if it's his last appearance in retrospect btw, just the last one shown on the beebs.

   I was so tired after yesterdays walk that, combined with a lack of sleep the night before, I dozed off just into the program and slept right through it. :(

(Anyone know if it's repeated?)

I watched Monday's episode but was too busy playing the Discworld boardgame last night to see it... But I recorded it! Once I have caught up on 3 weeks of Open Uni work I will reward myself by watching it! :D

Dara O Brian was chatting about it when i went to his stand up show the other day. Great show but he was saying how someone told him he was a gullible fool for doing a show on astrology

I watched it last night & could swear one of the ladies in the audience for the debate at 9 p.m. was Level-headed Jo, from Autumn & Springwatch, she mans, or rather womans, the pc in those programmes. She was handed a glass of red wine & was stood on the right hand side. Did anyone else who watches AW/SW notice her?
Best wishes,

I kinda half watched/half snoozed my way through it. It's a great programme but the time it's on is just right for my post dinner nap and I can't keep my eyes open. We are lucky though to live in a "dark sky" area and on clear winter nights it's great to be able to go outside and see the Milky Way and try to identify constellations or, if we're really lucky, the northern lights - then run back inside for a hot chocolate and hug the radiator :) Some of the viewers photos they showed were completely amazing - wish I could take pics like that!
