Roundworld names that should be discworld names

Postby Fortune Clutterbuck » Thu Jan 12, 2012 12:06 pm

I once knew a woman called "Odecia Pilgrim" which would make a lovely name for a discworld character.

Also the president of NIgeria "Goodluck Johnson" sounds like he ought to be a relative of a certain discworld architect

What about the first woman chief of the Cherokee nation, Wilma Mankiller. :D

Mark De Man could have been in UA; such a good name for a footballer.

I know someone local whose name is Cecil Quarryman and you could not imagine anyone who looks less like a "Cecil" and enjoys the nickname of "Tiny."
He is at least 6'8" and I would estimate tips the scale at over 300 pounds. He works in a wrecking yard and lives down the road from me with his mum. Also sings in the church choir.
I'm NOT overweight, I'm undertall!

I heard a great name yesterday, but it was in the doctor's waiting room so I don't want to say :(

Oh what sadistic gits named their child Widget?

He (presumably) must have endured hell in the playground, and especially if he was around when the beer can with the widget in the bottom came out.
