Missing Pages :(

Hi everyone. I bought The Wee Free Men: The Beginning several months ago and I have discovered that pages 313-344 are missing from my book. I bought the book from a Barnes and Noble and I don't have the receipt anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do now?

Hi there and welcome!

I'd be inclined to try Barnes & Noble anyhow. It may be a problem they are aware of. And not everyone reads a book straight off.

Other than that, you might try contacting the publishers and see what they say.

Best to mention it at the shop where you bought it to start with - my copy of Half Blood Prince had about 70 pages repeated and about 2 chapters missing. Unfortunately I got it from Tesco and they weren't restocking so I could only get a refund and I had to borrow my sister-in-law's copy to find out what happened

Take it back to B&N and ask them to exchange it whilst explaining that you had it a while unread, due to maybe finishing the book you were reading , I sure they would be helpful I've found them Ok when in the States I always visit a store.

Or email the publishers customer service dept.at Harper Collins and explain it them.

Why not just throw the faulty one away and buy a new copy - checking if it has all the pages first?

I'm guessing that the King Jame's Edition of the 'Wicked Bible' where they omitted the word "not" from the commandment "Thou shalt not commit adultery" would be the exception to this at around $89,000!

Not so - in 85 years time it might become part of a classic movie, you only have to have a little patience

Thanks for responding guys!I was so frustrated because just as the plot was building up and I was at juicy part, it just got all interrupted. HAHAHA. All well. I'll will be contacting the bookstore and if they can't do anything then I'll contact the publisher, but I may just as well go to the nearest public library and see if they have it. I was tempted to keep on reading after the missing pages, but I guess all that has happened is for the best at this moment since I really should be reading my college textbooks instead. Thanks everyone.
