My co-worker and I just stood in awe for several minutes.

Lovely pic.

You get up DAWN to go to work?????

Only time I ever get to see dawn is if I am still up from the night before.

Awww! Pretty!

@deldaisy: Lucky you! In winter I regularly see dawn on my way to work. Sometimes it's really beautiful, but on the whole I'd still prefer sleeping a bit longer.

Admittedly its summer here and dawn is nearer 4:30am

Before too much year slips away, here is a photo of a sunflower (and bee) in my garden greeting the New Year on the 1st January 2012...

Del, I get up at 5:30 a.m. during the work week. I have to be at work at 7:30 a.m. which means I get to see dawn during the winter months. On the weekends I refuse to rise before the sun. :D

Aunty, I love that photo. The sunflower makes me smile. Jules, maybe we chose the wrong professions? ;) Next life I'm coming back as a rich socialite.
