Hello, everyone, I'm back! (harr harr)
Thanks for the compliment, and we've had a beautiful week over in Zakinthos. But I couldn't stand the heat, especially in the afternoon. It went up to 42 degrees :? . We probably spent more time in and on the water than we did on land .
Now, about the Josh Kirby covers; I thought the business was quite funny and while reading the book you could actually go and search the cover for characters  . I actually like both the same, up to the point of character designs. It seemes that there is more thought behind Paul Kidby's way of drawing the characters.

In most cases I prefer the Kirby covers, except that they're a little bit too cartoon-like.

There's another artist who's (I think) done a good job, particularly with Reaper Man.

I've never liked the way Paul Kirby depicted Death.

The covers are OK artistic wise, but to me, they don't get across the idea of humour. They don't tell me "This is a funny book!". When I looked at those covers I thought "Lord of the rings".

Who's the Rincewind looking wizardy guy at the bottom of Guards Guards meant to be?

And Carrot looks a bit "girlie".

Sybil looks like evil. He should have drawn her wearing her Grandmother's tweed jacket. And Carrot doesn't look very manly either. And Death is wearing red!!!

I suppose we all have our ideas of what they should look like. I could never forgive Josh Kirby for drawing Twoflower with four eyes.
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Yes she does! She looks like a James Bond villainess!

She looks like a manipulator of men (completely unlike the rest of the female species!)

...er..... actually she looks quite sexy!

Who's the babe on the back of Binky? And who's the pointy-eared elf smoking a pipe? Were there any elves in Reaperman?

The guy with the pipe is, I think, Modo. The guy in the coffin is Windle Poons, I have no idea about the girl on Binky - surely not Miss Flitsworth.

I thought the guy with the pipe was meant to be Albert. What did Modo do in Reaperman?

Why is the Carrot/Wonse's nephew dude wearing Peter Pan boots?
