I had a hankering for Boston but they have hosted before, so well done Baltimore

Do we know what hotel they'll use yet (I have friends in the travel trade who might get me a good (cheap) deal :D )?

Boston has never had a Discworld convention there, Just Phoenix and Winconsin, but Terry was a GOH at the Worldcon there in 2004.

The Hotel is Baltimore Marriott Waterfront , looks quite nice but don't know the room rates yet.

Worldcon must be what I was thinking of - knew Terry had been to Boston for something or other ;)

Air fare there is a bit pricey, £813 based on travel for 2012 though. :o

Ouch! Hope the price comes down before the con. I took a peek on Expedia last night for roughly the same dates next year and it showed just $204 for a round trip flight! I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can get that kind of a rate for the following year!

Yes still time to check around, and if the fuel prices come down a bit and our bloody goverment doesn't stick on or raise any more flight taxes it might be possible as it not too near Worldcon, just have to wait and see what the hotel room rates are.

If you go to Baltimore you do know you're all going to get crabs, don't you? :D

If you're referring to STD's, catching Lobsters and getting the Scallops in Boston could be just as bad, don't you think? ;) :P

Obviously, you don't know Boston very well. If you're a man and come around here looking for action, the only thing you're going to get is the deep freeze. :D

I'm just scratching around for an answer to that Jeff. ;)

Well, we can officially say it's "next year" now! :D I am definitely planning on being there. It will be a little tricky missing out on 4th of July celebrations with family and friends here. But, I know from the last two cons that it's so worth it to arrive a bit before and stay a bit after the actual con dates.
