Penfold suddenly remembers that he does not swim that well and retracts his previous comment.

Shadow wishes the same as Penfold.She thinks this is a very strange idea for a thread but thinks it could be fun.

Jules sidles into the thread and sits on the new sofa. She's not sure about the 70s decor. She assures everyone who isn't used to this way of communicating that it is quite habit forming. When weird things happen in Juleses real life she catches herself mentally turning them into third person stories.
She then decides to look for cookies and chocolates in the usual places*.

Before she toodles off with a handful of slightly dusty but still quite edible chocolates, she shouts 'IMPY USED THE FORBIDDEN PRONOUN' and throws sparkly fluff** at Impy.

**She found that between the cushions, too. She hopes Impy won't be turned into a toad when the fluff hits and promises to think in the future before she uses strange sparkly objects.

EDIT: Of course Jules joins the happy dance for Joanne's new job!

Impy tells Jules that she was merely using the forbidden pronoun in solidarity with Joanne....*ahem, cough, cough*. Yes, that's it exactly.

Impy also suspects that it is likely not the last time she will use a forbidden pronoun, or make some other grammatical or spelling error. It's not as though Impy teaches English or anything like that. Oh, wait....

Sparkly fluff, disco ball! Yay!

As Charlie would say: 'Whoopee, the gang's all here!' Well, OK, not ALL here, although those that are here seem to be all there. *Re-reads sentence. Doesn't understand it. Pretends it's not really there and moves on*

Yup, the new boardies are definitely starting to settle in. Hurrah!

But dusty chocolates?! Shock! Horror! Quick, order a fresh batch and some hot pizza and cola to entice Thumps out from his hiding place.

Toothy has had a stoopidly busy day, mentoring a student, working on various problemy things, being given a shortened deadline and having to miss choir practice and also arriving late for a drama rehearsal. (Toothy's local group is putting on Cold Comfort Farm and she is their Prompt. Toothy likes prompting. It's something she's quite good at and it means not having to learn any lines. The play is on next week...

Toothy really needs to go to bed in a mo as she's kna... very tired, but she decides a quick stroll around the board is good for the constitution first.

Doughnut Jimmy thinks it sounds like Toothy is trying to juggle too many things!

[Will of Lancre]

Will reassures Toothy that he is indeed still all there. At least most of the time.

Will can sympathise with Toothy's choir practice problems. Will is in too many choirs and they are all practising like crazy for Christmas.

On the up side, Will and Mrs Will went to a quiz last night. Team Will didn't win (too many pop music and songs-from-the-shows questions ) but much more importantly they did better than teams containing several of Will's colleagues, including one who used to be a Brain of Britain.

Meerkat, herself, gets rattled by modern pop songs when lots of the teams are over forty!

Meerkat did once get Living on My Own by Queen... on just four beats! Meerkat will not forget that in a hurry! Happiness!

Tino thought it prudent to let the thread get into a swing before Tino attempted to post in third person

Tino is happy for Joanne at getting a new job WOOHOO and hopes said job is enjoyable

Tino likes the idea of chocolates and cookies as it reminds Tino of his old internet gaming days when cookies were handed out between guildies ,but like Jules he isn't so sure about the 70's theme. Tino thinks that if the window is left open then all the new members may get blown away in their flares if there's a sudden gust of wind (Tino wasn't just referring to flatulence from too much partying and pizza)

Doughnut Jimmy thinks this thread could be quite entertaining but she is confused by TonyBlack's comment because she thought he didn't like Igors?

Tino thinks maybe TonyBlack is practising his Igor so that he can infiltrate the Igors and take them down from the inside
