Cover pictures!

The covers on most of the books I have- the (hang on while I measure :oops: ) 18cm by 10cm books- are awesome. Kinda cartoony, also not...
Does anyone else try and work out what's happening on the covers before reading the book, then look at it after and notice so many little things? I do. It's enjoyable. Sad person that I am. :D

Generally I try to avoid guessing the story from the cover. Although when the cover from Snuff was available a lot of us tried to work bits out and generally got it wrong! :lol:

You would have a hard job doing that with most of the American covers though. :) I loved the Josh Kirby's covers for that after I had read the book.
He willnae tak' a drink! I think he's deid! , on the other hand though A Midgie in yir hand is worth twa up yir kilt.

The American covers (other than the hardcover edition of Night Watch) are completely awful. Which is why I spent a small fortune to 'import' used Kirby paperbacks.

No, but I really liked the Good Omens cover by Hienman which I have in p/back. :)

I mostly have the American versions, which I agree have inferior covers, but I do like some of the pictures.
