Watch comic?

Postby Cheery » Sun Jul 05, 2009 7:46 am

I'm going to do a storyboard or comic of one of the scenes from the watch books. But I don't know which one. The only scenes that have popped into my head aren't very suitable to do a comic of. So, instead of reading each book again, I'll ask you.

Do you know a scene or some scenes from the watch books suited for a comic? If yes, please tell me. :D

The scene when the guys are on the roof trying to get the perfect million-to-one shot at the dragon comes to mind. :)

By the way, Cheery - have you seen the graphic novel of Guards! Guards! by Graham Higgins and Stephen Briggs?

You beat me to it Tony.

I'd kind of like to see something in Uberwald, from The Fifth Elephant. Maybe some of Carrot's naive mistakes when he first got into the city, like when he broke up the fight in the Broken Drum and kicked Detritus in the rocks; or when he arrested the head of the thieves guild.

I like to imagine the scene in feet of clay when thiefs come in the bar and take angua in hostage. I like the discussion of carrot and vimes while angua is fighting them outside in the fog with some time a scared thief who appear at the window. :D

Ooh, that's a good one! Have to laugh every single time I read it
I'll definatly do a comic of that scene, thank you!
But it'll take some time. I'll have to define the looks of the watchmen and probably practise on backgrounds a bit.

Keep coming, folks! I like your pics! :D

Erm... Does anyone know on which page this scene starts? I've looked through the book twice and I can't find it

Found it! I've got the paperback version, so it's on page 180, but thanks for your help! I'll start doing the rough frames now.

I'm going to need a swat team, ready to mobilize, street maps covering the whole of florida, a pot of coffee, 12 jammy dodgers and A FEZ.

I wanna see the first time Greebo's turned into a human :)
There were no public health laws in Ankh-Morpork. It would be like installing smoke detectors in Hell.
