Lego Discworld Models??

Postby Ponder Stibbons » Fri Jul 03, 2009 4:37 am

Does anyone know if there are any lego models made specifically to look like discworld characters apart from Death? I was thinking of making a stop-motion movie of one of the books. :x

I don't think there are any specific ones, but people have certainly adapted existing ones as you can see here.

There's a stop-motion video here that someone has done. It gives an idea of what might be attempted - you might want to put it on mute though.

I'm pretty sure they've adapted existing ones - painted new faces etc.

They are absolutely brilliant Lego figures. I have a lot of Harry Potter, or rather my Daughter does & a lot more besides. She collects Lego. We play with it for hours.

My brother collects Star Wars Lego. He's got this remote controlled walker. It really freaks our cats out, when that thing suddenly starts walking!

I lvoe the Star Warsd sets. I have the UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) of the Death Star fro The Return of the Jedi which was over 3000 pieces and took about 12 hours to build! I also collect the magnet minifigs which they just released 4 more! I have them all at my desk at work.

A couple of the best sets I have are the Republic Attack Gunship and teh walking AT-AT which is just so cool!

I find that working on the sets gets very zen-like and I feel very relaxed when I walk away from doing them after a while.
A legal Feegle? How could there be such a thing?
Today I feel like I am soaring like a tortoise!

Thanks tony, those models ar great.

I find the opp. if i'm working with lego, that if i spend too long on it i get frustrated and tired. Esp. when i hav to get the sets mde frst. When i do stuff i tend to want to just get down to it without fiddling with stuff beforehand for hours.
