The REALLY good news is that it was announced this week at (I think) ComicCon in San Diego, that the BBC has commissioned a fifth series.

Nice :)

Uh... I gotta admit that although I like the legend I've never quite grown on the series. Maybe it's me growing weary of attempts to 'teenagify' everything from Sherlock to Indiana Jones. :?

But talking Merlin (slightly off track, sorry), anyone here watched the old mini series "Merlin" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0130414/)? I rather liked it, and despite not the coolest effects, the story is told well (just stay far far FAR away from the sequel). And if you fancy looking at some other interpretations of the Arthur legend, try get the comic "Camelot 3000", a sci.fi. trek over what would happen when Arthur is awaken somewhere far into the future (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelot_3000). The B/W version is stunning, and story well told.

New series of Merlin starts on Saturday 1st October, immediately after the final (except for the Christmas special) episode of Doctor Who.

Morgana seems to have changed....

She looks like Helena Bonham-Carter as Bellatrix Wotsherface (or was it Wotsherface Bellatrix) :P

On the TV ads it's definitely still Katie McGrath... regrettably  I hope Morgause is coming back as well - she's much nastier

Mercifully I've managed to miss Twilight completely and intend to keep it that way

I bought the first one, to see what the fuss was about, and it's of more use as a drinks coaster.

YAAY!! :D Merlin's back! Can't wait!

I never much liked Morgana (the actress, whassername...) - she always talks in such a soft voice and she looks as though she's going to cry any moment... But love the series! :D

Well, the lad will be in seventh heaven this Saturday as Doctor Who and Merlin air one after the other!

Digital Spy's Ten Teasers for the first episode: (Highlight to read)

1. "It's not something you can chase or something you can kill."

2. With a new series comes a revamped title sequence - it's still in the style of the old one, but you'll notice a few additions.

3. "His heart is ****** and his spirit is ****."

4. There's some obligatory shirtless Arthur action - for those of you who enjoy that sort of thing.

5. "I'm sure a man of your talents can think of something."

6. The Knights of Camelot are not above a little mischief.

7. "He is your ******* and he is your ****."

8. Morgana suffers from some rather troubling visions...

9. "I always thought if things had've been different, we'd have been good friends."

10. Camelot comes under siege once again, but this time Merlin's magic may not be enough to save it.

No. 4 makes me happy!!
