cant remember which book, but it might have been the mallorean garion had a sword made out of a meteorite

I'm a bit confused and too lazy to read it all, has TP got a sword made out of a meteorite? If so that is AWESOME!

Must first appear somewhere in the Belgariad I think - Riva Irongrip made it, but needed the orb to join the hilt and the blade after he forged them seperately - or something like that

Someone gave me a very silly book by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child that has a sword made from a meteor. People who held the sword got ill and died. I worked out why waaaaay before the end of the book and was disappointed to find I was right. :roll:

There is also a series of books by Jack Whyte, called The Camulod Chronicles with a sword made from a "skystone" - which is quite obviously a meteor.

That's the one. And, as far as I know, Uranium is far too soft to be any good as a sword.
