Terry and the mon-Orangutans!

Postby DaveC » Thu Sep 01, 2011 10:34 am

From Jason's newsletter

Terry has been at Paignton Zoo recently filming a new documentary about Orangutans. This will be Terry's third collaboration with director Charlie Russell who previously filmed Terry Pratchett: Living with Alzheimer's and Terry Pratchett: Choosing to Die. One wonders if this one will be called Terry Pratchett: Hugging the Librarian...

I couldn't help but post this, even though many of you probably get the newsletter anyway - this sounds like a great watch! :D

That's all the information I have and that was gleamed from a couple of Tweets that Terry and Rob posted.

Apparently he has already been in an Orangutan documentary:

Orangutan Foundation website wrote:Sir Terry Pratchett is one of the most popular authors writing today[...] In 1995 Terry visited Indonesian Borneo with Orangutan Foundation to see orangutans in the wild and film Terry Pratchett’s Jungle Quest for a Channel 4 television documentary.

After a quick trawl of the internet I've found a 5 minute chunk of Terry's first Orang doc from 1995
