Rats?

Mice are not cute when they're pissing and pooping all over the countertop where you prepare tea, coffee and food.

Or they burrow under your bath and nest and then chew through the plastic water pipes... grrrrrr.

I don't mind rodents if they're the pet kind, but not running round my office!! [shudders]

Unfortunately, my office being very close to the River Thames, it's inevitable that we'll get some of the critters when the weather gets cold.

What about hiding some cheese and other rodent eatables in your boss' office so they go there instead?

Although... do find someone with tame critters and test the cheese first. For treats I once got one of those small sample packages for my rats. They smelled it (it was smelly, had I known how bad I wouldn't have gotten it), then walked backwards ... then turned around and ran....

Why sell cheese for human consumption if it makes even rats run?

I went through THIS when I was about ten. Mum and Dad would seal us into our beds in nets to let us sleep and every day Mum would resew the holes they had nibbled in the nets that night. Once me and my friend ran out of a wheat warehouse and landed knee deep in half dead squirming mice. I HATE MICE AND RATS.

When you get mice then you get rats then you get snakes....

We have a rat plague here now across the city (because of the floods) and with the cold weather they are all trying to find somewhere warm (like houses).

They spread disease, they chew through wires and wood and plastic (love electrical wires). They will eat the wires out of your car engine.

I love Death of Rats in the DW series..... but in real life I love dead rats.

I am sad when one of my small ratties dies
But I do understand the feeling on those wild rats, anything uninvited should just get lost. That includes spiders, bugs and pigeons (I hate those flying vermins )
