Imagined Lives - Mystery Portraits

Postby The Mad Collector » Sat Jul 16, 2011 6:09 pm

Has anyone else read this? It's a short paperback linked to an 2010 exhibition of portraits of unknown sitters owned by the National Portrait Gallery and various authors wrote imaginary biographies for the person depicted. Terry did one called 'The Tale of Joshua Easement' who he claimed was an Elizabethan sailor who only knew the difference between port and starboard because he had never drunk starboard, but had drunk practically everything else.
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

The Collective Brain: The synoptic serendipity that comes when interesting thoughts from interesting and interested people get together. And the whole is always more than the sum of its parts.
