Hmmm, not tried emu is it any good? I've cooked kangaroo a few times and thats delicious.

I haven't tried it either but I would imagine it to be similar to ostrich, which is delicious.

Here's an interesting question. (well I think it's interesting, but I'm easily pleased)

In Japan, there are different counting words for different things. For example tall thin things are ipon nihon sanbon, small round flat things are ichimai nimai sanmai, etc etc.

Anyhoos, animals are ihiki nihiki sanbiki, and birds are ichiwa niwa sanwa.

Yet rabbits are counted the same as birds NOT animals. Why?

Japanese Buddhist monks were not allowed to eat any meat other than birds, but liked rabbit meat so much they came up with the contrived "explanation" that rabbits are actually birds, and that their ears are unusable wings. The rationale was that while moving, rabbits only touched the ground with two feet at a time. Nowadays, hiki is the usual counter for rabbits.

Ah yes, thinking about it there were two versions done, one on a red background and one on a blue, this is quite a while ago. I bought the blue one which is the Ankh-Morpork Merchant Ships Flag of Convenience. (for hanging in your convenience ). The red one was the main flag of the city sorry for the confusion there, if everything wasn't packed up ready for my move I could have checked before posting.
