But I also love Sam Vimes and would love to meet him and his son. Then there is the wizards, and Nobby Nobbs, and Death... Ahhh.... this is tooo much *head explodes*

What goes wrong? I presume you get an over cooked gung on the bottom of the pan?

indeed...and most of it sticks to the pan and it doesn't taste all nice like it does in a cafe...

Sorted. Tried it and what you need to do is rinse the grated potato in clean water. When you grate a spud you bust open a lot of cells and the starch gets out. It's that starch that ends up in the pan stuck to the bottom. I went a step further and partially dried/cooked the grated spud in a roasting tin in the oven while I fried the bacon in the butter (and a small diced onion). Mixed the fried onions and bacon into the now 90% cooked grated spud. Put the mixture back into the roasting tray and added grated Emmental across the top. Popped that back in the oven. Then grilled a Salmon fillet and steamed some Asparagus.

A great success :D

I would like to meet Sybil and her litttle Dragons.

Carrot wouldn't be high on my list, I personally felt he was too good to be true, but maybe that's the point?

I wish I were that innovative!

I think that there are certain discworld characters I'd love to 'seee' not necessarily meet and spend time with...
Nobby is a prime example.

No, I think you wouldn't. Not afterwards, anyway. I think you'd wish you could unsee things.

when I say I would want to see, it's the sort of seeing you want to do purely because you've heard so much about their overwelming unsightlinesss, that you've just got to see it to believe it.

Your ideal discworld dinner party would have?

    Nanny Ogg
    Granny Watherwax
    Death
    Susan Sto Helit
    Adora Belle Dearheart
    Moist von Lipwig
    Cohen the Barbarian
    Twoflower
    The Librarian
    Cherry Litttlebottom

Who would you add/swap?
