Well, my daughter has read the first three Tiffany Aching books and is about to read I Shall Wear Midnight now that I've finished it (for now).
Does this count?
PS The old saying that you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink is prominent across my consciousness right now.

My oldest daughter recruited me, and the teen has FINALLY this year got into them (but its senior at school so she hasn't got much time), the 11 yr old has started reading the Tiffany series (from me?... Nooooooo.... Gerhard was babysitting and reading The Wee Free Men to her a few weeks ago..... and everyone knows he is a god because he has a pet turtle).

Yep Janet. I used to gush about them years ago. HAD to convert. Now.... I tell anyone who asks and briefly and to the point... if you can't pick them up yourself and display at least SOME curiosity.... your loss.

great my cousin has also started reading them and my dad but I made him buy his own copy I don't wany anyone else reading mine :twisted:

So he went out and bought the UU Soul Music(second hand bookshop in town) I was so annoyed but at least I own my own copy

Sadly, I haven't converted anyone! They just look at me weird when I try to describe the books! (Perhaps that's just down to my own skills!)

IMHO it's pretty hard to get folks to read Discworld by trying to describe it.

Like Tony (and many others, I suspect) I know that look only too well and have given up trying to persuade to read the books. I have had some success by leaving them lying around in the staffroom on occasion but since this normally results in me not getting it back, I stopped doing that as well. :lol:
