sounds like there was a lot of fun had by all

If I wasn't working the day before I would have been there. spending 1 1/2 hrs just to get into the city is bad enough for 1 day of my weekend (not to mention fuel)

Will have to make sure I go to the next one.

Although I'll be wandering around the venue looking for a Mr Bean look alike

(Whispers - I think you mean River Song Chris, River Pheonix was the actor that od'd outside the restaurant in America years ago.)

You are totally right though when you say Doctor Who is not a kids programme I don't miss an episode and I was 34 yesterday. Also it seems to have gone a bit dark recently and the silence scared me quite a bit.

Ankle biters, knee butters and elbow chewers* like to be scared. Cos they know in the end it'll be ok.

I used to hide when the daleks came on the screen. Ah the days of B/W! Made it scarier too!

Black and white sets also tended to be lower resolution in those days, helping to hide the more obvious joins in the sets. :)

:D :D :D Me and Kay (my bestie as a small child and the daughter of the man who owned one of the only two TV sets in town) watched the whole of our first encounter with Dr Who and the Daleks from behind her couch and the wall with a blanket over our heads clutching each other in terror! :D :D :D

On the beeb site today, some guy called Moffat said the daleks were going to have a long rest because they're crap and the Doctor has beaten them 400 times. :P

What? Even the "Wiggles Daleks"? The multi-coloured ones? :( I thought they were going to be playing it bigtime since they arrived. What are they going to do with the Dalek Colouring In Books now?

There really should have been a pink Dalek when they had those new ones.

I do agree with Moffat. The Daleks have been way overused of late. They could do with an absence.

My little girl would have had one in a heartbeat.

Ah I can just see her now.... lining all her Barbies up..... EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! :D

Actually my 23 yr old would love one.... a tall one and she could hang her necklaces off their arms.
