Del-ishush Umm yes. My husband informed me of that happy fact. Have you ever been to any? They meet at the BCC Library and ... watch things. Yup, no lively discussion just watch things. Last month they watched Inferno [Brigadier Story of course]. Now, I am by no means down on the Dr Who fan, but I had just expected more. I went with my menfolk once and no one really talked to you and I felt like an intruder. Not the warm hearted openness of Discworld fanatics. Or maybe I caught them on a bad day.

But yes, definite cross-pollination opportunities. Maybe also Pulp Fiction in Edward St?

Welcome Ashwin, it would be great if you could come along. You could even BYO Dr Who fans. I am. :lol:

I saw the advert for the Brisbane Drummers in this month's Discworld Monthly! I hope you get loads of interest from it. :D

I also saw meerkat's advert for the York Drummers. Good luck you two!

There seems to be quite a few groups popping up all right.
Might have to look at an Irish one in Dublin :D

Ewwwwwwwwww! That Dr Who meet up sounds HORRIBLE! Most of my Dr Who fan friends are MUCH more animated than that!!!! Fierce discussions about who did what and why that won't work or did you pick up that clue..... so no I haven't been to a meet up.

OMG! Oh yay!!!!! Graham Norton Show JUST came on ABC2 and it has David Tennant (swoon) and Catherine Tate on it. :D :D :D

The class was learning about some revolt in which some peasants had wanted to stop being peasants and, since the nobles had won, had stopped being peasants really quickly.

I hope so Q. I was at the Brissy Arts Theatre do on Mothers Day and wondering if ANYONE from here was THERE :D

Funny huh? I mean at the nibblies thing after,... I could have lurched drunkenly after my free tipple of red wine and spiked them in the eye with a cheese wedge onna cocktail stick and NEVER knew til they mentioned it on here!

And I MUST say.... I was MOST disappointed they had NO rat-onna-stick on offer! ...though the salami DID look a little suss.

Nannys cookery book does include several rat recipes in the dwarf cookery section :)

You will have to get the book and try a few

I hope so too! I still haven't arrived in Brisbane but when I do I'd love to come along :D
