I don't know if this was ever out in the UK. But I do fondly remember this series growing up. About a talking dog and his buddies who solved different cases. Some fairly enjoyable reads. Has this ever been something you guys have heard of? Or just now knowing of?

And that 25 in the B.R.H. corner may be the price in cents and the Puffin logo for Penguin publishing .

No, it's number 25 in the series. He's written about 58. :D I was asking Sharlene about the books as she used to own a bookstore. She said they are very popular and quite funny. :)

It sounds like it, but it's really hard with all the competition from the large chain stores and the Internet. Independant book stores just can't compete on price and some of the bigger stores will actively out price the smaller places out of business. :(

There's a lovely independant book shop in Pocklington! It is brilliant and even has reading clubs for pre-school children and it is always packed out!
