Been a bad year for Doctor Who actors after the brig went last year too.

Very sad.

I'm trying to find a news article on this but only found one which seems to say that the death is a rumour. LINK.

There's nothing that I could see on the BBC News website. Can I ask where you heard about it, Ben? :?

I love the Sara Jane Adventures and I'm hoping this is a mistake. Sadly I suspect it isn't. :(

Definitely true unfortunately. Proper BBC announcement and everything.

She didn't seem old at all. Tragically young. Apparently had cancer for "sometime" according to the BBC link. I guess she understandably wanted to keep it out of the public eye.

Such a shock.

Thanks for posting the link. It's just sad that it is true. I guess I was hoping it would be an error. :(

RIP

This is so sad, :(

Got to tell my little lad in the morning, not looking forward to it, was only doing a quiz tonight on SJA with him :(

Can't believe she was in her 60's, wow she looked good for age. RIP Elizabeth.

her age shocked me too. I know she was first in doctor who nearly 40 years ago, but she looked so much younger.

I hope your lad is ok.

It's incredible that she inspired two different generations, so many years apart. There are going to be a lot of sad families tomorrow morning. All those people who grew up with her and then she comes back and is a hero to their kids too.

No no no!!!

Dammit! First the Brigadier, now Sarah Jane. And Liz Sladen died young, of cancer. Like Jacqueline Hill.

Ugh, what news to wake up to. :(

EDIT: Sorry for the melodramatic post, it's just a shock to wake up and find out that one of my most favourite actors has died, and died so young, too. :(

What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
