Well I KNEW about the Broken Drum etc  :D

So what do Broken Drummers do?..... its a p**s up isn't it.... under the guide of "talking to like minded individuals and devotees of DW and/or TP"

Enough beer and dancing is highly advisable.... as is falling down or wandering into the wrong loo, (actually mentioning loos... aren't men the lucky ones... they have those SPECIAL little bowls on the wall at JUST the right height to sit on the floor and throw up in, AND a little water fountain to rinse your mouth out.....AND, AND... a lovely breath mint to suck on.... I mean .... come ON! WHEN will women get equal rights!!!!)

I reckon we will do whatever sorts of things we are interested in doing. Activities that may, or may not, involve imbibing alcohol or indeed mints!

Maybe you can make something from Dijabringabeeralong
A poster outside one shop urged people to Dig For Victory, as if it were some kind of turnip.

Not really. The original club was called the Broken Drummers because they met in a pub and that was a reference to the best known pub in the books. On that basis you could be any of those suggestions. I don't think the bar in Dijabringabeeralong was actually named but it definitely sold Roo Beer and Rincewind is drinking Funnelweb in the brewery. Plenty of possibilities there Del :)

:D :D :D

But you are all quoting "words" that have thier own references here.... NORMAL references. Strange huh... really brings home HOW much of the LC we Aussies let rip over our heads.

Raw Prawn... it sounds like a fight club. "Don't come the raw prawn with me MATE! (Or perhaps a club devoted to Fine Japanese Dining) Sushi is huge here.

Funnelweb.. you never want to use that word in any club name if you want members... SOME things we DO take seriously.

And its a nation of drinkers... any reference to grog will sound like a pub crawl club.

Chunderers?.... as if any pub would let us prebook with a name like that!!! :D

Something that smacks of DW.... Aussie..... but DWAussie

ARRRGHHHH!!!!! I can't explain it!

Brissy Broken Drummers !!
